1 John 4:7-9 God’s Love and Ours
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

From Flesh to Vine: Impossible Harm, Endless Love

Wickedness Increases And Loves Grow Cold Amid Deceptions
Many Turning Away From Faith To Betray And Hate Each Other, Led Astray By False Prophets.

The One who stands firm to the end will be saved.

I am sharing these profound spiritual truths from the Bible, centering on Matthew 24 and its prophecies of end-times turmoil, where faith falters, betrayals multiply, deceptions abound through false prophets, and wickedness chills the warmth of love in most hearts—yet salvation shines for those who endure steadfastly. I have gone through a transformative journey: realizing the world’s entrapment in sin, the flesh’s impossibility for true goodness without divine connection, and how surrendering to the Spirit of Jesus makes harm not just difficult, but utterly impossible. Love becomes the guiding “wind,” a force of unconditional forgiveness and truth that heals rather than hurts, even toward those who’ve betrayed me in dark, orchestrated plans. My intent is to guide others—especially those “on the fence” who sense the lies—to connect their branch to the vine, from John 15:5, for victory, exposing deceptions not as attacks but as pathways to healing.

Matthew 24:10-13 says: At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. This resonates with my experiences of attempted harm and betrayal, yet choosing grace over grudge, as the Spirit steers beyond fleshly reactions. Truth reveals lies, echoing John 8:44’s “children of Satan” as habitual deceivers, to free and restore, and this clarity makes harmful choices obsolete. Unwavering love defies the coldness, potentially awakening others by holding up a mirror to the rot without condemnation.

These themes echo in my recent comments on the video ‘Praying Psalm 23 Over You,’ expressing the raw truth of my feeling.

—I cried most that day in knowing God loves me and Jesus suffered to save me. Some days are isolating and in the lessons I learned that day is no matter how tired and much pain I lean on Love and Jesus & God love us and this love is my true strength. I think it is also easy to see that you have love in your heart as your video and what you said that day was perfect. You are good and thanks to you and God bless all in tears to find the love and joy of Jesus.

Also part of that story is I have no harm others in me so I also know I am not just seeing change I am being changed and I can not lie or harm it only helps me to say truth my hope is in that some will see how I went from what was like hell on earth to heaven in my mind and no nothing and no one can reach me with pain I see their pain and the lies and I don’t have a fight the same way its now just empathy and love. This personal testimony vividly illustrates the “flesh to vine” transformation, turning suffering into empathetic endurance.

This mirrors the verse’s warnings in today’s context: a world of division and falsehoods calls for rooted faith, where love endures as the ultimate victor. I have a video transcript in mind, woven here as a narrative summary of these insights. Below, I recap key points from my thoughts, explain their meanings, and provide the full Matthew 24 from the New International Version with section-by-section breakdowns, emphasizing ties to “from flesh to vine”—the shift from human impossibility to divine, endless love that stands firm.

Summary of My Reflections: What I Have Shared and Its Deeper Meaning

Structured as an overview of my insights, linking to the title’s themes of transcending fleshly harm through vine-like love, amid deceptions and coldness, toward salvific endurance—incorporating my comments as truthful expressions of emotional and spiritual growth.

  1. The World’s Sin Trap and Love’s Primacy I have discovered the world trapped in sin, with fleshly ways opposing Jesus’ path of love, forgiveness, and unconditional kindness. Helping others connect to the vine for victory is key, as flesh makes goodness impossible without the Spirit. I referenced Matthew 24:10-13. This captures the “flesh to vine” transition—human efforts falter, from Romans 7:18-25, but divine connection enables endless love, from 1 Corinthians 13. Amid wickedness’ chill, from verse 12, it counters deceptions by fostering forgiveness, from Matthew 5:44, making harm impossible as the Spirit guides, much like leaning into love’s strength despite pain and isolation.
  2. End-Times Weariness and Choosing Grace Over Anger While preferring not to see these as end times, I am tired of hateful behaviors. Despite dark plans and attempts to kill me involving betrayals based on false premises, I choose love to guide them to God, sharing messages to help fence-sitters see lies. I referenced “children of Satan” as liars, from John 8:44. This echoes verses 10-11’s turning away, betrayal, and false prophets deceiving many. Grace disrupts hate’s cycle, from Romans 12:21, using truth to heal, not hurt—embodying endless love that stands firm, from verse 13, turning personal trials into testimonies against coldness, as seen in praising love in others and blessing those in tears.
  3. The Impossibility of Harm and Truth as Healing Love isn’t hard; it’s impossible to choose otherwise now, as the Spirit prevents harm. Truth exposes lies to help heal, without intent to wound. This is the core of “impossible harm”—full Spirit surrender, from Galatians 5:22-23, makes hate obsolete, shifting from flesh to vine. It defies verse 12’s cold love amid wickedness, promising salvation, from verse 13, through endurance, where truth frees, from John 8:32, and restores—reflected in being changed, unable to lie or harm, now fighting with empathy and love, hoping others witness the heaven-bound transformation.

Overall, these reflections illustrate the title: from fleshly struggles amid deceptions and betrayals, to vine-rooted, endless love that endures, thawing cold hearts and leading to salvation through tears, empathy, and unshakeable faith.

Full Text of Matthew 24 (New International Version)

The complete chapter, framing end-times signs where wickedness increases, deceptions lead astray, loves grow cold—but firm stance saves.

1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

29 “Immediately after the distress of those days

‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Breakdown of Matthew 24: Section-by-Section Meanings

Jesus’ Olivet Discourse prophesies temple destruction in AD 70 and eschatological events, blending near and far fulfillments. These breakdowns tie to the title: wickedness’ deceptions chill love, but vine-rooted endurance—from flesh’s harm to endless love—leads to salvation, as exemplified through tears turning to empathetic strength.

  1. Verses 1-2: Temple’s Fall Foretold Jesus predicts the temple’s total ruin, symbolizing judgment on unfaithfulness and end of old ways. Spiritually, it urges reliance on eternal truths over earthly forms—setting a stage where deceptions rise, but firm faith endures, much like the shift from pain to unbreakable love.
  2. Verses 3-8: Disciples’ Query and Birth Pains Asking about signs of his coming, Jesus lists false messiahs, wars, famines, earthquakes as intensifying “pains” heralding the kingdom. No alarm needed; these precede the end. This relates to current chaos as precursors, where love must not grow cold, echoing isolation lessons leaning on Jesus’ love.
  3. Verses 9-14: Persecution and Gospel’s Reach Global hate and death for believers; apostasy breeds betrayal, false prophets deceive, wickedness chills love—but endurance saves, after gospel spreads worldwide. Core to the title: amid deceptions and cold hearts, standing firm in vine-love counters hate, fulfilling mission, as love letters and comments show empathy replacing fight.
  4. Verses 15-28: Abomination and Tribulation Desecrating “abomination” from Daniel sparks flight and unmatched distress, shortened for elect. Beware false wonders; Christ’s return is lightning-clear. This portrays intense trials where flesh fails, but endless love endures without harm, mirroring the heaven-minded transformation beyond pain.
  5. Verses 29-31: Cosmic Upheaval and Return Post-distress, heavens shake from Isaiah quotes; Son of Man appears gloriously, gathering elect. Nations mourn; triumph for faithful. Hope amid wickedness: salvation for those firm, shifting from flesh’s fear to vine’s victory, like seeing others’ pain with love.
  6. Verses 32-35: Fig Tree Parable Signs like budding fig signal nearness; generation seeing them endures events. Words eternal. This urges recognition: see deceptions, stand firm—thawing cold love through truth, as the hope for others to witness change.
  7. Verses 36-44: Unknown Timing Only Father knows hour; like Noah, normalcy precedes sudden judgment. Watch like against a thief. This stresses readiness: in betrayals’ era, endless love prepares without expectation, aligning with impossible harm and empathetic stance.
  8. Verses 45-51: Servants’ Parable Faithful stewards rewarded; wicked abusers judged. Calls consistent duty, not delay-exploiting. Reinforces: amid cold wickedness, stand firm in love—impossible harm yields salvation, as tears and blessings reveal God’s ministering strength.

The lies and wickedness of attacks on me are seen and yet not to hurt and harm and they can not break my truth or love. Matthew 24 guides enduring deceptions with vine-rooted love. This story lives it: from flesh to endless grace, standing firm through empathy, truth & Love.

As in Jesus the Love that is Always.
