My Sweet Lord Jesus Love Will Never Die

My Sweet Lord Jesus
Love Will Never Die

My Sweet Lord
I chose this one for what feels more love Billy Preston.
In the quiet moments of life, when we pause amid the ordinary, we can glimpse the extraordinary: God’s presence woven into every detail of existence. Like walking through a park filled with the scent of earth yet seeing only the delicate beauty of a flower, or watching dew sparkle on a leaf as sunlight dances through it, or feeling a butterfly gently land on your hand, these are reminders that we have always been with God. Everything is a gift from Him, revealing His goodness and love. By silencing the noise, calming the mind, and opening our eyes, we realize He is never far; seeing Him doesn’t take long.

This awareness fuels a heartfelt Joy: I really want to see you, I really want to be with you… But it won’t take long, my Lord.

My sweet Lord
Hmm, my Lord
Hmm, my Lord

I really want to see you
I really want to be with you
I really want to see you, Lord
But it won’t take long, my Lord

So if it wasn’t amazing and most blessed and beautiful enough God’s abundant, overflowing generosity, how even the greatest joys, cherished songs in Giving Thanks.
Gaither and Billy Preston’s are gifts that bring forth the Spirit of God. The song You Can’t Beat God Giving, the song captures that truth so well: the more we give in love and faith, the more He pours out blessings, health, guidance, and everything we need. It’s a perfect echo of Scripture’s message that every good thing, from family love to beautiful music, to the simple wonders of life, comes from our unchanging, loving Father. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

You Can’t Beat God Giving

You can’t beat God giving, no matter how you try.
For just as sure as you are living
and the Lord is in heaven on high.
The more you give, the more He gives to you,
but keep on giving because it’s really true
that you can’t beat God giving, no matter how you try.

He sends the sun, and He sends the rain
He sends the harvest, golden grain
And He comes to see me, every now and then
Because He’s my best friend.Psalm 42:1-2
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

Jesus
Billy Preston – Jesus
another fantastic love song. The toughest lesson in my life turned into the most beautiful rebirth. Being with Jesus, in Jesus, and all of Jesus. I am standing in the light and love of and with my God. I truly flowered into love with my God.

Those first two songs were and are so good and beautiful. Then came another precious gift from God above: this joyful loving song celebrating the most beautiful gift of all in the Lamb of Life Jesus, I love you to.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

It was such a sweet, funny moment when I heard this song again and immediately called my mom to share it with her. She instantly recognized it as one we used to play when I was a child—a classic by The Beatles. Back then, we’d dance and play together, laughing without a care. That’s the beautiful thing about music: it carries memories across time, and the Holy Spirit loves it too, stirring joy and connection in our hearts.

I chose this particular cover because Emily Linge’s young, beautiful voice feels so sincere and pure. It perfectly captures how I feel about that timeless, unconditional love—the kind that sees us through any storm. I remember calling my mom before every trip; just hearing her voice made me feel safer on life’s road. She’d always ask where I was headed, and after every journey, I’d return safe and sound. Over time, it built this comforting story in my heart: her love was watching over me.

Most vividly, I recall lying on her lap as a child, her fingers gently running through my hair while I listened to the birds singing, distant trains rumbling, and soft rain falling. Those were peaceful, calming moments—full of love, safety, and gentleness. Truly, the purest joys of being a deeply loved child.

And I Love Her
Emily Linge

And I Love Her
Cover by Emily Linge

I give her all my love
That’s all I do
And if you saw my love
You’d love her too
I love her

She gives me everything
And tenderly
The kiss my mother brings, she brings to me
And I love her

A love like ours could never die
As long as I have you near me
Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky

I know this love of mine will never die
And I love her
A love like ours could never die
As long as I have you near me

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine will never die
And I love her

1 John 4
On Denying the Incarnation

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

God’s Love and Ours

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

Acts 11:1-18
Peter Explains His Actions

The apostles and the believers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God. So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized him and said, “You went into the house of uncircumcised men and ate with them.”

Starting from the beginning, Peter told them the whole story: “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision. I saw something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to where I was. I looked into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles and birds. Then I heard a voice telling me, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.’

“I replied, ‘Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

“The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’ This happened three times, and then it was all pulled up to heaven again.

“Right then three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying. The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s house. He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’

“As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”

When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”
