For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world,
and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
I have quite literally said there are days
when my life itself feels like I’m living in a septic tank—oh shit—
yet I smile and awaken every day,
knowing that the gift of life, and Eternal Life to come, is the win.
The faith I have is knowing that the win in life is Love:
that one day all the shit will turn into flowers,
and then all the good seeds—which are the Words of God—
will blossom into beautiful, loving fruit.
I have seen the good to come,
and I can and have survived many years of pains that could not break me.
Pains turned to gains in that the foundation of who I am
was built stronger in the Love that I have in God, from God, in Jesus.
Jesus is the Rock that I built my home & faith on.Many readers of the Bible overlook a profound truth: the Word of God is not merely text but the very essence of His magic, power, love, and life, through which He spoke all creation into existence, as seen in Genesis 1:3 where “God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” This creative force is echoed in John 1:1-3, declaring, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… All things were made through him,” and in Hebrews 11:3, which states, “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.” Psalm 33:6 affirms, “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host,” revealing that God’s spoken Word infuses existence with divine vitality and purpose.
Moreover, Scripture explicitly declares the Word of God as living and active, carrying the very spirit and life of God Himself. Hebrews 4:12 proclaims, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Jesus Himself teaches in John 6:63, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life,” showing that His words—and by extension, the Word of God—are infused with spiritual vitality and life-giving power. This transforms mere reading into an encounter with the living God, whose Word breathes eternal life into those who receive it.
My Truth / The Truth of God
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 ESV)
My Love / The Love of God
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8 ESV)
We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19 ESV)
My Light / The Light of God
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12 ESV)
My Words / The Words of God
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. … And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1-14 ESV, selected)
He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. (Revelation 19:13 ESV)
My Life / The Life of God
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live…” (John 11:25 ESV)
And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. (John 17:3 ESV)
My Win in Jesus / The Win in Jesus
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 ESV)
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5 ESV)
