Songs that never get old. A good loving Ava & Jason / YahASon – Dad

A Song of Love and Forgiveness

This video is of my daughter and me dancing — a reminder of our many good and loving songs together. The song I want to sing is one of the many we have loved many times before.

I forgive all the foolish and bad people who tried to steal our songs and our love. I love them and forgive them all. I only seek and hope that they will one day sing their own songs — songs of truth and love — and that they too will find Love and Jesus.

God loves and forgives, and through Jesus, all can see God’s grace. Truth, Love, and Jesus.

Ävā Wettstein, I am here with many good songs of love, and I am not mad with you. I am always here with unconditional love. I am your Dad — forever and always.

Love Wins. And yes, God is Love.

Sun/Son in the Rain

Another Song of Love & Felt Favour

I lived in 70 Mile House, a small and quiet community in the BC interior. It sits high at 3,700 feet, surrounded by mountains and shifting skies. The weather there is unpredictable—often it rained all around my home, yet the sun still shone overhead with openings above. That strange beauty became my sign of grace—my sun showers.

I felt and believed it was God’s favour. I thanked Him and spoke with love and appreciation, even as so many around me seemed to turn dark. My neighbour William used to say we had “magic powers,” but I knew the truth—it wasn’t magic, it was love. It was God, who knew I loved both the rain and the sun. I would work in the warmth of the day, and He gave me both at once: the light of God and the rains of life. I have photos that show my yard was always green with fresh life.

Each drop shimmered, casting life and lights of God beyond time, and I felt the warmth of love upon me. The clouds would open just above me—a miracle in itself—and I knew it was the magic of God, the calm before the storm He’d been preparing me for. I went out one day and it was so amazing that I thought, people cannot see this, so I filmed it—it lasted over 20 minutes, with sun shining and rain pouring.

Then today, I awoke and put on music, and this was the very first song I felt—to remind me why I turned inward during the storms. I went to God, and Jesus was the calm of all my storms. The words reached deep within, reminding me once more of His glory, His timing, and His love that never leaves. His timing, when met with our patience, reveals absolute Perfection and Love.

The song was—and is—“Have You Ever Seen the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

“Someone told me long ago
There’s a calm before the storm
I know, it’s been coming for some time…”

When I first heard it, I didn’t understand how fully it mirrored my own path. But this year, as the pieces came together, I saw that God had been showing me much to come—layered truths and timeless insights that only made sense in His perfect time.

I could write books about the harm and the works of Satan and his fools, but the songs I sing are the many more songbooks of Love and of God—for God is Love.

He showed me that creativity is part of His delivery, and that patience reveals His pattern. I was to always have the Son in the rain—the Light shining through my storms—because even in hardship, I was still seeding flowers on a good tree, His tree of me.

So this song is more than nostalgia; it’s another love song between God and me. A reminder that He is always present—through the rain, in the sun, and especially in the calm before the storm; and that my faith is the calm within the storm.

“I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day?”

Yes, I have. And it was and is the love of God.

Mark 4:39–41

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

He said to His disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”

John 15:5–8

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
