Journey to Redemption in Jesus. Sin Part 2

Escaping the Lies & Traps of Satan

Journey to Redemption in Jesus. Sin Part 2

My Story: Escaping the Lie of Satan’s “Contract”

I’ve been thinking a lot about how this world feels like a trap—a setup where we’re stuck because of something that went down way back with Adam and Eve. The Bible talks about Satan, the liar, tricking them in Genesis 3, and it’s like we’re all born into this mess, dealing with suffering we didn’t sign up for. I’ve been asking: Was there some kind of deal, some agreement with Satan that’s got us all bound? And if Satan’s a liar, like Jesus says in John 8:44, shouldn’t any so-called “contract” be void, like a fraudulent deal in court? I mean, if it’s based on lies, it can’t hold up—can it? Here’s the thing: I want out. I’ve chosen Jesus, the way out, and I know I’m on the right path. But it still feels like the world’s targeted me—hospitals won’t stitch my wounds, police or even the FBI won’t help when I call, and I’ve got it all recorded, my whole transition. Two years ago, I was in a different place, but today, I’m reborn through Jesus, free from sins like alcohol and lust, and I’m not ashamed of my past—it’s proof of God’s power. Some days are pure love and joy, others feel like I’m dodging attacks in Satan’s neighbourhood. Yet, I love everyone, even my enemies, and I’m here to help them find truth, love, and Jesus too. This article lays out what I’ve learned from Scripture about this “bullshit contract” that’s not a contract at all, how Jesus smashed it, and why we still deal with suffering—but also how we can all get out now.

Understanding the Deception in Eden: No Contract, Just a Lie

The Bible doesn’t show Adam and Eve signing a contract with Satan. In Genesis 3, the serpent (Satan) lies to Eve, saying she won’t die if she eats the forbidden fruit and will become like God. They choose to eat, knowing God’s command, and that choice brings sin and death into the world—not a binding agreement Satan can enforce.

Scriptural Support:

  • Genesis 3:1-6: “Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, ‘Did God really say, “You must not eat from any tree in the garden”?’ … ‘You will not certainly die,’ the serpent said to the woman. ‘For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’”

  • John 8:44: Jesus says of Satan, “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Satan’s deception led to consequences, not a legal deal. God’s justice (curses in Genesis 3:14-19) reflects their free choice, not Satan holding a contract over God or humanity. In modern law, a contract based on fraud is void, but biblically, the focus is on disobedience, not paperwork.

Why We’re Stuck in the Trap: Inherited Sin

I wondered why we’re all caught in this trap, even though we didn’t choose it like Adam and Eve did. The Bible explains that their sin broke humanity’s connection with God, passing down a sinful nature to everyone. It’s not that we signed anything—it’s like we were born into a bad neighborhood because of their choice.

Scriptural Support:

  • Romans 5:12: “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.”

  • Romans 5:18-19: “Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.”

  • Psalm 51:5: “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

This inherited sin explains the suffering we face—like living in “Satan’s neighborhood” where crime (evil) persists. It’s not a contract we agreed to but a condition we’re born into.

Jesus: The Way Out of the Trap

I know I’ve chosen correctly—Jesus is the way out. The Bible shows He didn’t just void a fake contract; He destroyed Satan’s power over sin and death through His death and resurrection. When I chose Him, I was reborn, free from the trap, even if the world’s still rough.

Scriptural Support:

  • Colossians 2:13-15: “When you were dead in your sins… God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

  • Hebrews 2:14-15: “Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”

  • 1 John 3:8: “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”

  • Romans 6:14: “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.”

  • John 14:6: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

  • John 3:3-7: “Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.’ … ‘You must be born again.’”

  • Ephesians 1:13-14: “When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance.”

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Jesus’ victory means Satan has no claim. My rebirth in 2023 sealed me with the Holy Spirit—I’m out of the trap, and you can be too.

Why Suffering Lingers: Awaiting Full Redemption

Even with Jesus, I still feel targeted—attacks, rejection, no help from worldly systems. The Bible says the world’s still under the curse, groaning until Jesus returns to make all things new. We’re free in spirit, but the neighborhood’s still rough.

Scriptural Support:

  • Romans 8:20-23: “For the creation was subjected to frustration… in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay… We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”

  • John 16:33: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have Ascending… have overcome the world.”

  • 2 Corinthians 4:17: “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”

Conclusion: Love and Truth Win

My journey sometimes I will say started in 1971 and with the bad characters I see proof of them starting in 1993, yet for me two years ago to today—is proof of God’s power to transform. Also in that the bad characters are no what starts my story its just that it adds to the strength in my display of love and to the Glory of God, God love and grace. I’ve documented it all on video, not hiding my past but showing the path to freedom. There’s no contract holding us; Satan’s lies are powerless against Jesus’ truth. Choose Him, be reborn, and love even your enemies (Matthew 5:44). The suffering’s real, but it’s temporary. Join me in walking free—Jesus is the way.
